Hi Barry, Wow! I don't know what to say. I love the empty fountain. It did not dawn on me to photograph it from that angle, but it certainly will dawn on me the next time I am at the Hirshorn. The reflection in the water really raises it to a whole new level. Your viewpoints and photos are something for this Druid (haha) to aspire too. Thanks for sharing your photos. Best,
The water in the first one adds a very nice dimension! (I added this last bit!) I'm tilted when I look at it because it's slightly askew. I think they call that tension and at my tender age, tension is troubling (smile).
Your images are so beautiful. I love the use of portrait format! The contrast of image #1 and #2 is fantastic. Think is the same subject but one is portrait and the other is landscape. They illustrate very well to me that is not just shifting the camera 90 degrees but the composition leads the choice of format. Excellent!
I knew you would like the empty fountain--but my favorite is #3. All the triangles, including the curved one and the light. Beautiful

ReplyDeleteI love the 2 fountain photos -- capturing the reflection in the top photo is very clever. What is the bottom picture?

ReplyDeleteWell, these had to be Barry's. Love the scintillating tonal effervescence in the last particularly - reminds me of a sunny day at the beach!
